Owners Neal Thompson and Vincent Thompson, father and son, established JN Thompson Construction Inc in 1978 as crane rental and as a subcontractor steel erector. In 1982, the company became a general contractor and currently holds both Georgia and South Carolina contractor's licenses.


In 1983, J N Thompson Construction Inc teamed up with Gulf States Manufacturers and became a dealer of pre-engineered metal buildings. Gulf States offers the flexibility of combining various construction materials or complementary metal sheeting colors for an architectural approach to building design. Since becoming a Gulf States dealer, JN Thompson Construction Inc has been named a top ten dealer for 14 years and a top 20 dealer for seven years.
